A brief look at the deities. These are the beings of a higher (or maybe lower) plane of existance who shape the world of the mortals. These beings are each unique, and have their own agendas, interests, and designs for the world. Each deity may choose to take certain groups or races into their favor as a chosen people.

Quetzaya, also known as the Blind Serpent.

She is the dark goddess of Erdeor, and delights in turmoil, suffering, and the deeply disturbing. She is greedy with her great power, and means to corrupt and rule all of the realms and even the other gods themselves. Of all the gods, she has the greatest number of followers, and controls the most realms. However, the unending strife, chaos, and civil wars among her followers keep her from overwhelming all of Erdeor entirely.

Quetzaya may personify herself in a number of ways. Most often to her followers, she is depicted as a Lamia, a woman with the scaly lower body of a snake the color of dead flesh, and dark red hair. She might also reveal herself as a Vorloran of similar features, but most of her personifications will remain unrecognized, as she often blends in among the masses to partake in the more vicious of sacrificial ceremonies.

There is one characteristic of hers that never changes, whether by choice or by limitation is up for great debate among those closest to her. Her large sightless eyes, when revealed, are solid black, with no white or iris to be seen. Most of the time, they are hidden behind a bandage or a scarf wrapped about her head.

The races favored (and thus influenced) by Quetzaya are:

Lizardmen
Goblins
Demons (and other summonable denizens)
Those that have entered the realm of the Undead (save for spirits of the good)
...And any that are corrupted.

Ralaeth Elder God of Chaos and Neutrality.

Ralaeth is one of the original two deities, Quetzaya being the other. Initially meant to be Quetzaya's opposite, a god of good, he formed imperfectly. Rather than being a deity of righteousness, he formed into a god of chaos and self interest. His actions pursue his own interest of remaining entertained. Interactions with mortals usually result in something unpredictable, but amusing for this deranged god.

Despite his irregularities, many mortals choose to make deals with Ralaeth because he is more flexible than the goddess of good, and less manipulative than the goddess of evil.

Ralaeth's chosen people are the Orcs.

Cera, the White Lioness

Born due to the imbalance caused by the malformation of Ralaeth, Cera is the goddess of all that is good. However, because of the power absorbed by the creation Quetzaya and Ralaeth, she is weaker than the other two gods and considered a young god. She relies heavily on her followers as a source of her power. As the deity of good, she seeks to accomplish peace among the races and while that is her goal, she knows and is willing to accept that many battles must take place to achieve that end.

All things noble, pure, and right have her blessing. Cera is firm but gentle, compassionate with an unyielding sense of what's good. Merciful but understanding and aware of evil. Her patience is legendary, even when it comes to the most trying of races. It is nigh impossible to stir her wrath but when she is angry, her fury is like a hurricane.

Most often, Cera will appear as a white lioness to her followers and is her preferred form. She has been known to take on the appearance of a Silbaran elf, taller than the usual race with silvry-white hair and bright blue eyes.
